As one of the highlights of the evening the first “Bright Minds Film Festival Life Achievement Award” will be given to internationally renowned Mexican television and film actress and director Adriana Barraza, who has been nominated for a Golden Globe, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Broadcast Films Critics Association, and an Academy Award for best supporting actress for her role in “Babel”, starred by Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. She won an award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture at the San Francisco Film Critics Circle Awards for the same film.

We are very proud to announce that the award-winning Mexican-American actor Sebastian Ligarde, best known for his work in telenovelas and the big screen will be one of the judges of "Bright Minds Film Festival".
